DYSPORT® is a neurotoxin similar to Botox and Xeomin that is used for the reduction of wrinkles and relaxation of muscle contraction. DYSPORT® (AbobotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA approved injectable that is minimally-invasive. The neurotoxin blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in the contraction of the muscles to be in a relaxed state. This state will temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and lines around the mouth.
Glabella (Frown Lines), Forehead, Around the Eyes (Crow’s Feet), Upper lip, Nose, Chin, and Neck.
Dysport injections take in 2-3 days to take effect. The full result of your Dysport treatment will be seen 10-14 days after your treatment. Dysport can last up to 3 to 4 months. It’s important to note that you should not be treated with Dysport more frequently than every 90 days.
Prior to injecting, your nurse may numb the area with a cold pack. Discomfort is minimal. The entire procedure takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Many people are in and out of the office without downtime following DYSPORT® Cosmetic treatment.
Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a neurological disease should not DYSPORT®. Since DYSPORT® doesn't work for all wrinkles, a consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner is recommended.
No alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment. Discontinue anti-inflammatory medications (i.e. ibuprofen) 24-48 hours prior to treatment.
Do not lie down for four hours after treatment. No facials, massage or waxing for 72 hours after treatment. Do not exercise the same day as treatment.
